Is there an application deadline?
We accept applications year round but implement an end date to meet fiscal year deadlines each year. CWB's fiscal year runs from November 1 to October 31. Due to the volume of requests, please expect 6 to 8 weeks before hearing from us.
Is there a dollar range for funding?
We receive a range of requests from $1,000 to $500,000. Any request over $25,000, if deemed suitable for CWB to support, will be put through to a governance group within CWB, which reviews applications on a quarterly basis. We recommend keeping requests under $20,000 if you haven’t received funding from CWB in the past.
I’ve applied for and received approval for funding in the past. Do I need to fill out the online application for a renewal or new funding request?
Yes, we require all new and existing applicants to apply through our online application.
Can I send a funding proposal via email or mail?
Due to the volume of requests we receive, we only accept funding requests through our online application portal. Anything received outside of this may not be received or viewed.
Can I reapply for funding in the same year my original application was declined?
Yes you can reapply but we recommend you connect with [email protected] to understand if submitting an application is the best route.
Can I apply for in the same fiscal year I received funding from CWB?
No. We typically only fund an applicant once per fiscal year.
