Community impact

At CWB Financial Group, we’re committed to driving economic prosperity for a better society. Each year, we invest significantly into communities across Canada. We’re proud to contribute over $2 million back to the communities where we operate as well as lend a hand through countless hours of employee volunteerism on an annual basis. We do this by proactively seeking out meaningful partnerships with charities and not-for-profit organizations.

Impacts from west to east

Entrepreneurial leadership
Across the country we’re supporting students in their desire to become future leaders and make a difference in society. Our partnership with Enactus Canada, as presenter of the Financial Education Challenge, is engaging students in their quest to educate individuals, families and businesses about financial literacy. Supporting the entrepreneurial and social spirit of these students was a natural fit for CWB, with our focus on the business owner and desire to create social change in the communities where we operate.

Recognizing many youth may face barriers that prevent them from being included or integrated into society, we’ve partnered with organizations that offer much needed support for those at such a vulnerable age. Through promotion of diversity and positive inclusive environments, CWB is able to make impacts towards the betterment of these youth through organizations such as the iHuman, Convenant House, Safe Haven Foundation and Big Brother Big Sisters agencies across Canada.

Reaching economic potential
Many Canadians or newcomers have the skills and experience to build a successful career but face obstacles towards reaching their economic potential. We partner with organizations providing a helping hand, ensuring inclusive, sustainable communities where we operate. Through partnerships with organizations like Windmill Microlending, Rise, DIVERSEcity and Achēv we’re able to set Canadians on the path toward success.
