EDMONTON, October 1, 2010 – Canadian Western Bank (CWB or the ‘Bank’) is pleased to announce the opening of its new full-service commercial and retail banking centre in Sherwood Park, Alberta, effective September 27, 2010. The new branch, located at 251 Palisades Way, will benefit both new and existing customers throughout this bustling community, which is located east of Edmonton. The branch offers a full complement of banking services for both business and personal clients.

“The launch of our Sherwood Park branch has been in the works for quite some time and we’re excited to extend our unique brand of service to this growing area,” said Jack Wright, CWB’s Senior Vice President and Regional General Manager. “Building awareness and increasing customer convenience by expanding our branch network is one way we’re offering solutions for today’s busy business and retail customers. This branch represents the first of two new CWB locations opening in the fourth quarter of 2010 and is part of our commitment to further grow CWB’s footprint across Western Canada.”

“We’ve been serving customers in the Sherwood Park area for years now and this branch enhances our ability to offer a full-range of competitive banking products delivered with personalized, western-based customer service,” added Blair Zahara, Branch Manager in Sherwood Park. “Our business plan is simple; we offer our clients exceptional service to help them achieve their goals while building honest, long-term banking relationships.
