EDMONTON, June 24, 2013 – Canadian Western Bank Group (CWB Group) is donating $50,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to support communities affected by the recent floods in southern Alberta. In addition, CWB Group employees in affected areas will be given a day off with pay to volunteer their time in the coming weeks toward local relief efforts.
“The severe flooding across southern Alberta has caused unprecedented destruction that continues to impact many of us, regardless of where we call home,” said Glen Eastwood, Senior Vice President and Regional General Manager, Prairies Region. “At CWB Group, our top priority is to ensure that our employees, clients and communities are taken care of following this disaster.”
CWB Group is committed to helping clients that have been impacted by the flood and will be reviewing circumstances on a case-by-case basis. Affected clients are encouraged to contact their account manager to discuss possible options.
Canadian Western Bank branches will be accepting public donations for the Canadian Red Cross from June 26 to July 26, 2013.
