Canadian Western Bank has proudly donated $70,000 total to a variety of Canadian Food Banks across Canada.
As part of CWB’s giving philosophy to actively participate in the growth, development and sustainability of the communities it serves, this give will go to four different food banks such as the Regina Food Bank, Food Banks Alberta, Food Banks BC and Winnipeg Harvest.
“We are so thankful for CWB’s generous donation to Winnipeg Harvest,” said Keren Taylor-Hughes, Executive Director of Winnipeg Harvest.
“A contribution like this allows us to share food with more hungry people, provide more job training to those who are seeking opportunities and advocate more effectively for policy that supports those living in food insecurity.”
Funds will be distributed to a variety of different initiatives from each organization. From fresh and perishable food distribution (Regina) to subsidizing food programs (Alberta and BC) to providing nourishment for babies (Winnipeg), these donations will have a significant impact to many Canadians.
“It makes me so proud CWB has chosen to give to Winnipeg Harvest and to these other great Food Banks,” says Chris Voogt, AVP & Branch Manager, Kenaston Branch, Winnipeg.
“I know CWB’s donations will support so many people in these communities and will continue to make an impactful difference to those who require it the most.”
